Wanted: Wildlife Artists and Celebrities!

Are you an accomplished wildlife artist, a famous actor/sportsman or someone with a public profile? If so, you could help us as we fight for the survival of endangered animals in Africa.

‘Sketch for Survival’ is a major exhibition of wildlife art culminating with a nationwide tour including a week at the gallery@oxo on London's South Bank and 3 days in New York. This will be accompanied by an extensive PR and social media promotion before being sold on the 25th November on our online auction site. All the profits will be donated to our conservation partners.

Our deadline is the 31st July so as we have time to market your work and ensure it maximises its full potential both monetarily and in terms of publicity.

We  have a growing portfolio of sketches from celebrities and leading conservationists. We would love to feature a piece of your work.

If you are an artist we appreciate that painting is your livelihood and a time-consuming discipline. If you are in the public eye we appreciate that you receive many demands on your time. We would therefore simply like to ask for 26 minutes of your time to ‘Sketch for Survival’. To make life as simple as possible we’ve created a sketch pack containing everything you need, from sketch paper to a stamped addressed envelope. Just e-mail us at with your address to receive one.

In return for your efforts a link will be placed from the online gallery to your own website. You are welcome to submit a 25-30 word description to accompany this. You will also be listed, with this description and URL, in the official event programme that will be available at all the exhibitions. You will also be invited to the gallery@oxo opening day.

We’d love a quick sketch, cartoon, abstract image or even a series of words, signed by you, that shows your support for wildlife conservation in Africa. Of course, if you are an artist you are very welcome to donate an original painting, drawing or other work, safe in the knowledge that all profits from the event and artwork are being donated to our designated conservation charities. If you wish to do so, we will of course cover all packaging and postage costs.

Our only stipulations are that the sketch is c. A4 in size and not framed. We will mount all artwork for the exhibitions.

The purpose of the exhibition is twofold. With your support we aim to raise vital awareness about the threat of extinction to iconic species such as elephant and rhino, as well as raising funds for nominated wildlife charities.

An online auction for the pieces will run in the weeks leading up to the event. Final bidding via silent auction will be held on the night, with the top lots being revealed at the end of the evening.

Please note: any sketch/artwork you donate will only be used in relation to the event. It will not be used in any other way or replicated without your prior permission.
